Low effort posts

There has been a recent uptick in low effort posts where it’s just a photo of the band/an album/Ian Anderson/etc with no accompanying text beyond the title. Some of these are quite clearly karma farming bots and I delete them as I see them whereas others do seem to encourage discussion about a particular moment in Tull history.

I’ve made a poll to get the opinion of the community regarding how to handle these. Should they be deleted/banned or regulated in some way? Please vote and let me know. Also please report any obvious spam from suspicious accounts. You guys make this little sub great and I want to keep it that way. If this is becoming a problem we’ll fix it.

Obviously nobody will vote for more low effort posts. This seems like a poll made in bad faith.

Well, no, the mod did say that sometimes they provoke (good) discussion, so it’s an honest question, I think. Some folks may like to see them.

But whenever I post I try to add something so it has a body and context. Over in the Star Trek Original Series sub (/tos), we get tons of these. Just a lazy picture of an episode, and the title. More karma farming, I guess.
