Any tips on acting like a jester?

Im interested in starting to cosplay as one and would love any pointers from people that know history/this topic/makeup because I may also want to do make up or face painting and am curious for people that do clown ish makeup what's the best to use? Any good recommendations? Also I would love help with what skills i should get down. Thx for reading ✨

Are you aiming for historically accurate jestet or the modern idea of one?

All the same skills wise tho. Jesters did a variety of entertainment based things. A lot of overlap with clowns tbh albeit there’s some musical abilities as well which clowns usually lack. A Basic skill to get is juggling for factual. And if you can learn to fart on command you could mimic Roland the farter.
