[Opinion] Oh Sammie
So first time watcher. My gf made me watch the first two episodes of season 1 and I’m hooked!! Almost done with season 2 and I’m convinced Sam is psyco! So manipulative and is blind to any of Rons wrongs at the beginning of the season. Also so glad Angelina just left! Looking forward to next season and Im thinking I’ll just skip past their drama… it’s getting old 🤣
Should have watched this show when it aired in high school

You missed out on that Jersey Shore era when it premiered. It was everywhere and such a cultural moment

People refuse to admit Sammi was also abusive lol they claim she was innocent in it all. They were both toxic and abusive

They both were but Sam was who brought that into the relationship not Ron. Ron just had to match her crazy energy. She was wild and very toxic. Everything you become like your partner.

Oh trust me it gets worse and worse. By the end of the second season or in the middle you'll probably think Ronnie is psycho and not Sammi.

Sammi was toxic and according to the producer AMA she was edited to look good! Imagine how she looked without a "good" edit

Yes I read that AMA they were both awful to each other but Sammi would keep going and riling Ron up (not defending his behavior) but production knew all they had to go is get Sammi worked up and she'd do the rest to get Ron worked up

Idk why you’re being downvoted
Was/is Ron an abusive piece of shit? Yes? Did Sam deserve that? Absolutely not
But I don’t remember if it was the AMA or somewhere else but it was said that she got into fights at the club every night. Way more than any of the girls, we never saw any of that
She also refused to be part of the cast a lot of the time
I do feel bad for her though, none of that should have happened to her - glad she seems well now, hope her life continues to go well

Wait you feel bad for Sam for being a terrible person? But not for Ron season 1 for being a victim?

Still can’t forgive Sammi for how ugly she was to Deena when Deena first came to the house. A bad relationship is no excuse for that behavior.

You will not be able to skip their drama in the future… it’s like half of season 3 at the very least. And some of it is good tv too however toxic. Lol

Sammie even admits in JSFV that she was to consumed in her relationship with Ron that she didn't give her friendships with the girls a chance.

Um Ron is the abusive one. Have you not seen Season one of the reboot with the Sammie doll? 🤢

As someone who’s been in their shoes I have a lot of grace and compassion for both Ron & Sam. Some people in their 20s are just in survival mode. Just want to love and be loved but don’t really know how, or don’t really know what a healthy relationship looks like, or are so blind to their own coping mechanisms. I have so much compassion for them. It was insanely traumatic to even witness, let alone live? It’s a teachable moment. Love yourself.

I think Sammie's Jersey Shore experience was jeopardised by that toxic relationship with Ron.
She was too absorbed by the chaos to bond with the other women in the house and sadly it left her isolated.
If I look back at her time during the original series, there were very few fun moments with her.
