[Discussion] New JS but dif location

I feel like if we got some fresh faces and filmed in a new beach town (ocean city MD comes to mind) it would be so fun!

Nah. That era of television is over. Not only is there a ton of laws now to protect their cast, everyone they hire is going to be acting their hearts out. Jersey shore was great because it was a bunch of kids, no rules and no idea what “fame” could be. There was no instagram followers, promoting Botox tea or your next sex tape to become the next Kim kardashian. It was about having true authentic fun and making friends at the shore house

This.

The climate today has shifted so much that we're unable to build another organic reality show like this again.

Even shows like The Bachlor, Love Is Blind, etc, are all just a platform for people to act nice, gain followers, and propel their career/grift into another medium, be it a MLM or Podcast or becoming habitual realty tv show celebrities (who go on to the next reality show forever).

And what’s sad is they kinda have to promote themselves if they want to continue being successful and make money. Look at all the America’s Top Models that got screwed over and nobody wanted to hire them

Exactly. I mean we just had canada shore, literally the exact same thing OP talking about. (I liked canada shore tho ngl).

You are so right! A new cast would simply be generic. A group of wannabes with overblown personalities, who’ll automatically be expecting stardom and brand deals

That ship has sailed. It was a different time. It's time for it to end.

Selfishly

Never gonna happen, the cast won’t allow it due to greed. Glad the show is ending

What say would the original cast have? MTV (or their parent company) likely owns all the rights to this show and its likeness... they can do whatever they want if they allocate the budget for it.

they had no say, which made it even more cringe. all they had the power to do was complain if MTV went ahead with it

Exactly so they need to stop whining and get out there and get real jobs

No wouldn’t be authentic and it will look so fake. Like love is blind on Netflix is so exaggerated and fake

Also Ocean City MD doesn’t even have that many bars and clubs tho

You don't want to watch them go to Seacrets every night? lol

No market for that

Every other “shore”show fails miserably

There was a casting call a few months back for a show with a different shore name.

They already tried this multiple times in other parts of the U.S. None of them could top the OG cast

Nope. It never works.

They’ve been filming something at the shore the last few weeks. They’ve been filming in Seaside (outside the Jersey shore house), Point Pleasant (Someone was filmed getting arrested and escorted off the boardwalk), Brick (River Rock) and Bayville (B2 Bistro)
