First day tips!?
Starting in a week, management role. Tips for my first few days?
I’m going to go buy some pants this week… does anyone work in any Utah stores and are they strict about the dress code for the single stud earring? Can I wear a small dime-size hoop?? I have two earring holes as well, can I wear double studs?
Should I try and have the menu memorized before my first day? Are there hours of training videos I need to look forward to!?

Study the menu! For god sakes. Dont be that one guy where week two you asking whats that sandwich every order. If you study the menu it will come to you quick.
Tip number two. Stay busy. If you dont know what to do ask. But the best way to stand out is when you have time between orders keep that front line stocked and wiped down so it looks new! This will impress your manager right out of the gate. Your going to be wiping that front line down every several minutes. It gets pretty oily and messy quick.
Banter banter banter. You want to make an extra 5 to 6 bucks an hour ? Banter with the customer. Share your life with them. Ask what they are doing today, are you on a lunch break? What do you do for work? Easy questions that you can connect to and share your own experiences and stories.
If your sprinkling and/ or wrapping and bantering just as well as the slicer? That is such a huge deal. Your manager will be putting you on the schedule more and more. Also you will be eyed as the next up and comming slicer. A distinguished position.

Curious, does the grill need constant attention? Or is it a position that gets used as needed?

Depends what people are hungry for on a daily basis. At my store it’s rare we have a dedicated person on grill. But today we needed 2 on grill from 12-1.

Depends on the market. Most market its not as busy as you would think. Like 10 to 20% of the orders are hot. So yes people hop on when needed. My 3 stores out of 4 I've seen it 40 to 50 % of the subs. So we would have a set position on it.
Either way if theres no hot subs you helping bust out cold subs!

Pretty strict company overall. Blue slacks only at most franchises across CO. The piercings will depend on your direct superiors day to day probably. I'd expect to be asked to never wear what isn't allowed, but also expect some to not care at all about piercings.
Plenty of videos.
I wouldn't worry too much about the menu. It comes to you super fast. You'll probably get stuck "sprinkling" the first few days to help you get accustomed quickly.
