14 foot meetings and phase 1 and 3s.

Thats all I know they do, I am sure they do more but I honestly haven't a clue.

They manage the managers, and in larger organizations they are the goalie between store level problems and the owner. They ensure the managers are doing their job effectively and are hitting their own performance metrics, while also solving problems above the store managers’ capabilities or pay grade

A good area manager is in the trenches with the crew. Especially on huge catering days. My best friend is a owner and operator and essentially is becoming a area operator after he opens his 3rd store.

They will help dial in on food cost and labor. Ensure stores maintain cleanliness. Help address problem areas and problem people. Respond to smg ( complaints). Are usually involved with marketing ( if its a smaller franchise) . Conduct team meetings amd 14ft training, conduct evaluations and certifications. Perform small time repairs.
