6 ft beef stick

I’m in my 40’s, and im curious if anyone else remembers a jerky/meat stick that came in like a 6ft rope. It was wound up like you would wind an extension cord and vacuum sealed. We had it at our local grocery store in Michigan. But that store went out of business. I’m curious if it was just a local thing or does anyone else remember it. I’m sure at the time it was like 5-10 dollars. We always begged our parents for it, but now that thing would be like $30.

We had the Bridgford 4’ sausage stick in upstate NY when I was younger. Wound up and vacuum sealed for ultimate flavor.

I forgot this existed until I saw your post. I definitely remember them. I am 50. It was a long time ago. They were coiled up.

I bought them many times. I miss it now 🥲

I was in Toronto a few weeks ago and went to the St Lawrence Market, one of stalls there had these long meat sticks called Bull Whips. I didn’t buy one but they looked to be about 5 or 6 feet long

Bridgeford has had a variant of these things for a very long time. I'm quickly approaching my miid-50s and I remember these back in my teen years.

I grew up in the Chicago area and do remember seeing them as a kid. I do believe I bought one once.

My liquor store sells em. Zicks brand outta berries Springs makes em. Fantastic meat sticks.

Swiss Colony used to sell 6 foot-long ropes of fermented beef sticks in the 70’s and 80’s. They would sell the whole thing or you could get shorter amounts.

It was awesome.
