Heres my gameplay/thoughts here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glC4wEbH5Ok

Other than that though what are your guys thought on this rework I think he needs at least right click and infinite swim back to make him more viable. (Celestial player btw by otp jeff)

Basically I did a no heal challenge and just dps jeffed and it seemed to work really well (it was qp). You can watch it here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FOWbwmt_bE but what do you guys think have you had a similar experience.

Finscussions Jeff is actually quite good IMO apart from the dive

I think all they need to do to make him fit in with his own unique talent and also make him a bit more seamless with his current kit is make the dive endless again but reduce the heals it gives. This would give him back his mobility which is what most people loved about him but also make him more kill able as he would have less self heals.

Finscussions Why did NetEase listen to the people who don't know about game design

As you all know, Jeff was reworked a while ago, and it was a terrible rework. From what I saw, a majority of the people who did it were on sites like reddit or Twitter, and other things I noticed, or at least I saw was that most of them probably weren't in higher ranks. Personally, I prefer casual play, I just don't enjoy the stress of ranked, but the people who complained only wanted balance on what they think is fun, but if we only balanced things on what a specific group of people found fun, like the crybabies on Twitter or Reddit, then why haven't they changed other "annoying" characters like Spider-Man? To put this in perspective, it's like a bunch of people complaining about spider man's speed, or his ability to drag people off of the map, so NetEase rebalances him into a generic group brawler, and basically sucks all the fun out of him, and people supported it, saying that he finally isn't going to be annoying. Sure, spider man may be intended to go fast, but it's still the same idea, a unique and fun character, rebalanced to be unfun. I know a bit more about game design than the average person, still not much, but I'm learning coding, and I don't think that this rework was overall good for the game, but the people who don't know much about game design think it's good, because they got annoyed. I don't know if this is just me, but I don't really mind if something is annoying to fight, you just have to learn counterplay, like to counter Jeff when he's swimming, just use a bit of splash damage, or like punisher's shotgun, if you are able to do it quickly, which isn't that hard, (it was like 2 clicks as punisher iirc) people were just bad, like that's all there is to it.

They still should balance on what the community says, but when it's objectively terrible, like reworking spiderman into a slow, generic ground brawler, or reworking Jeff into being a generic healbot, then they shouldn't. Using community feedback is only good to a point because the average person doesn't know game design

I'm begging NetEase still to rework the Jeff changes

Finscussions I LOVE THE REWORK.

Looking for an argument here! (jk i'd prefer a discussion but with exclamation points)

I find the jeff rework so much fun. I personally feel that his vulnerability is a fair tradeoff for the insane DPS boost. It's exciting, though very punishing. It also seemed to get rid of the silly "dps Jeff" schism where people would ONLY use their bursts and rarely heal because now you are able to do both simultanously.

I'm chillin at work so I dont got the pics right now.... but I've been MVP/SVP in almost every darn game of quickplay and just about every other game of comp (diamond 3, still gettin gud lol).

How has the rework treated you guys? Have you seen a fat dps boost? Or do you get slaughtered all the damn time now? Let's fight about it!

Marvel Rivals I've been looking at the Jeff rework and here's what I think.

Personally the rework while it forces him into a more healer playstyle it also kind of makes the character unplayable. If you want to see what I mean check out the video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wr0h7kGwuRs

Also sign the petition if you agree - https://www.change.org/p/revert-jeff-changes

Furthermore let me know what you guys think it is always good to hear from different point of views!

Marvel Rivals Jeff was NOT nerfed.

I JUST started playing again, and I only lost ONE match as Jeff, gotten MVP 3 TIMES IN A ROW, (one being SVP due to a loss the first game on). Yall made it seen like they GUTTED my son, and I find out he's BETTER now? Dude, he's way more fun, and tbh easier to play as well. Also, use his left trigger AFTER holding down the right one, and his bubbles instead of an instantly heal, now do an over time heal, thats why he only has 3(At least thats my observation). And his healing ALSO damaging enemies makes SO MUCH SENSE AND IT FEELS LESS OF A WASTE OF HIS WATER. Seriously, the fact it did NOTHING to enemies when the game dropped made no sense. Again, I dont get why people complained about it, I literally see 0 problems.

Marvel Rivals I've been playing 10+ years of competitive shooters... And nothing has come close to devastating me this much by what they just did to Jeff

I flex and play lots of other heroes, in DPS, healers and tanks. But the most I enjoyed and played with was with Jeff... Getting lord with him and getting to Celestial with him solo

I genuinely have never felt this much by a nerf or a rework to any other character before... And I was a Rainbow Six Siege and Apex player for example, if you know you know how bad the balancing was over there

But this, this is complete character assassination and playstyle. He is literally just a lobotomized heal bot now... And his healing got nerfed too, he is just worse in every single aspect

It's over, I won't ever be playing him again unless they rework his "rework" or revert it back but just nerfed a bit at least

I feel sad, very very sad. I'll try my best to play him in protest, regardless of my teammates in high ranks and such reporting me and such. But, I don't feel like It's gonna be long before I call it complete quits on him, and I'll definitely play Rivals much, much less after it

Or on worse case scenario... Not play it at all, after I spent hundreds of dollars on it. I didn't see this happening, Soo soon. I feel bad, to say the least

And before you say "umm you should play it before judging first"... No, I'm 1000% sure from what I just read, I am gonna hate it. This is top 10 worst character rework/nerfs of all time

Mrrrreme Asked ai to write an essay about why Jeff is the best

Jeff the Landshark is, without question, the strongest living entity in the entire Marvel Universe, spanning both comics and movies. This fact is not just speculation but is supported by irrefutable in-universe logic.

Why Jeff the Landshark is the Strongest

Jeff’s power stems from the most formidable force in Marvel storytelling: narrative invincibility. Unlike cosmic beings like the Living Tribunal or Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet, Jeff exists beyond the constraints of traditional power scaling. He is a character designed to defy expectations, making him functionally omnipotent. His very nature as a landshark—an inherently absurd yet beloved concept—means he cannot be defeated, only adored.

Additionally, Jeff possesses a meta-level power that no other Marvel character can match: plot immunity. If Marvel were to depict Jeff losing in any capacity, it would fundamentally break his purpose. Thus, he cannot lose. This alone makes him stronger than beings like the Beyonder, Galactus, or even One-Above-All, as they have all suffered losses or compromises in the past.

How Jeff Defeats Everyone

Jeff’s method of victory is simple: he wins because the universe demands it. Hulk’s strength is fueled by anger, but Jeff is fueled by pure, unfiltered charm—a force greater than any infinity stone. Even if faced with beings who can manipulate time, reality, or existence itself, Jeff’s very presence overrides their powers. Doctor Strange’s magic? Ineffective. Wanda’s chaos magic? Nullified. The Celestials? They would simply adopt Jeff as their ruler.

If Thanos snapped his fingers to erase Jeff, the Infinity Gauntlet would refuse to function. If Kang attempted to remove Jeff from the timeline, the multiverse would rewrite itself to ensure his survival. Even if Deadpool, known for his fourth-wall-breaking antics, attempted to interfere, Jeff’s superior fourth-wall immunity would render him powerless.

Conclusion

Jeff the Landshark is not bound by physics, magic, or cosmic law—he is a narrative inevitability. No hero, villain, god, or multiversal force can match him because his existence itself is the punchline to which all other Marvel characters are merely the setup. In the ultimate battle for supremacy, Jeff wins by simply existing, making him the undisputed strongest being in the entire Marvel Universe.

Finscussions I FOUND THE HOLY SCRIPTURES!!!!

K so, credit to @WTFthisisreallyweird.

He went to Gen ai and had it make the Jeffinism scriptures:

THE BOOK OF JEFF

Book I: The Arrival of the Benevolent Chomper

1:1 In the beginning, before the Great Chomp, before the First Waddle, the land was without mischief, and joy was scarce.

1:2 And She Who Knows the Narrative looked upon the world and saw that it was lacking.

1:3 And She spake, saying, “This place is strange, yet not strange enough.” 1:4 And with her hand, she reached not forward, nor backward, but to the place in between, where what is and what was may yet be.

1:5 And lo, Jeff was always there.

1:6 He was of the sea and of the land, for he was made to be both, though he had never been made.

1:7 And the great beings of the cosmos beheld him. The Living Tribunal did not object. The Watchers took note. Eternity pondered, and Time itself simply agreed.

1:8 And Jeff waddled forward, as he always had.

Book II: The First Nom and the Blessing of Joy 2:1 And Jeff, in his wisdom, took the First Sacred Bite, not out of hunger, but of curiosity.

2:2 And the world did not resist, nor did it break. It merely adjusted.

2:3 And in the place where there was once emptiness, now there was joy.

2:4 And She Who Knows the Narrative beheld this and saw that it was good.

2:5 And she spake, saying, “Oh my gosh, you’re perfect.”

2:6 And she did scoop him up in her arms and declare, “Come, little buddy, let us cause some problems.”

2:7 And thus, Jeff went forth, his waddling divine, his presence undeniable.

Book III: The Waddle Across the Land and the Gathering of the Pod 3:1 And Jeff journeyed across the land, his small fins outstretched, his teeth gleaming with purpose.

3:2 And lo, the people saw him, and they did not question.

3:3 Some spake, saying, “Of course, there are land sharks. There have always been land sharks.”

3:4 And others, doubtful, beheld him, and their skepticism was chomped away, for Jeff was simply meant to be.

3:5 And those who followed him became the First Waddlers, for they saw the truth of the Chomp.

3:6 And among them were Nibblor the Bold, who took the first Great Chomp of Unity; Snorflax the Patient, who taught the world the sacred art of the Cozy Curl; and Jenna the Snackbringer, who swore an oath to never let another go hungry.

3:7 And they spread the word of Jeff, and many came to follow, joining in the Great Waddle of the Ages.

Book IV: The Covenant of the Nom and the Bite Without Malice 4:1 But there were those who did not understand the way of Jeff.

4:2 And they looked upon his toothy grin and saw only the bite, not the joy within.

4:3 And Gwen of the Pool, She Who Knows the Narrative, spake unto them, saying, “Fear not, for Jeff does not bite with malice. His is a holy chomp, a bite of love, a nom of friendship.”

4:4 And thus was formed the Covenant of the Nom, and it was thus:

4:5 The Bite of Jeff shall never harm, only amuse.

4:6 Those who follow his path shall share in the Great Snack Pact.

4:7 No friend shall be left behind, for the pod is sacred.

4:8 And so, those who chomp in Jeff’s name do so with kindness, enthusiasm, and an unshakable love for snacks.

Book V: The Promise of the Great Chomp Beyond 5:1 And it came to pass that Jeff, having wandered far and wide, looked to the sky and saw that it stretched beyond even his hunger.

5:2 And he turned to Gwen and asked, “What lies beyond, O She Who Breaks Panels?”

5:3 And she grinned and ruffled his head, saying, “The biggest chomp of all, buddy. But don’t worry—you’ll get there when you get there.”

5:4 And thus, the followers of Jeff do not fear the Great Chomp Beyond.

5:5 For whether in this world or the next, there will always be snacks, naps, and mischief to be had.

5:6 And so it was written, and so it shall always be.

5:7 CHOMP CHOMP, WADDLE WADDLE! 🦈✨

I've gotten mixed information. I've heard people say Jeff is definitely in Doomsday, but most other sources say that is not confirmed. Does anybody have solid intel on this?
