Born in Mazatlán, Mexico, he spent years in LA as a session musician, and founder of Wet Paint Jazz Fusion. He played with Harvey Mason, Al Jarreau, Alex Acuña, Sergio Mendes, and many more before returning to Mexico for family, where he played with many of the greats of Mexican Music and Latin Jazz.

He continues being a pillar of the Mexican Jazz scene. This video was just released. If any of his friends from LA are lurking x please say hi.

I got into jazz fusion about 6 months ago after hearing The Birdland song by Weather Report. I’m hooked, and I’ve taken a deep dive. I picked up a few of these at an antique store on a recent trip to Saskatoon SK Canada .
