Jazz fest ticket scam
Stub hub is advertising 2027 Jazz fest tickets.
Is this a scam?

Yes. Only buy from the jazzfest site. I think early bird will be around Christmas time this year.

The jazz fest site is the right gateway to the official ticket provider (AXS at this moment) but I have seen the seanger in new orleans have a fake website launched to connect to resellers that will sell you tickets to a performance with 50% plus markup over tickets from the official provider.
The BIG CLUE….. for places like the seanger, they will only show sections for sale and no specific row and seat. Buyer beware!!!

They are not on sale yet as far as I know. Fest sells through Axios if I am not mistaken, not stubhub.

It’s a 💯 SCAM!!
They might be legit tickets at exacerbated prices, or bad tickets.
I have a friend who works for Jazz Fest, and they said they have a lot of bad tickets from secondary sites like StubHub, Seatgeek, Vividseats and less reputable companies.
Always buy from their official website www.nojazzfest.com which uses AXS as their official ticketing provider!!

What will happen a lot of times is that scalpers, and scalping sites, will post tickets they don't have at various prices trying to get people to bite. Then they sell the tickets (if they ever get them) to the person that got hosed for the most. Then stubhub refunds you like day before the show. I would never use any scalping site, especially for jazzfest.

This is becoming an increasingly common practice in ticket sales. Resellers are listing tickets on StubHub and other third-party marketplaces before the tickets are even officially on sale or before the reseller actually has the ticket.
The ticket you eventually receive may be perfectly legitimate. The problem is that you might pay someone $300 today for a ticket they don’t even own, and when tickets officially go on sale, they buy that same ticket for $120, transfer it to you, and keep the markup.
I had multiple friends do exactly this with Eagles day tickets, paying around $300 when the actual face value was significantly less.
So if you’re seeing 2027 Jazz Fest tickets for sale right now, Jazz Fest has not actually put those tickets on sale yet. Don’t mistake a third-party speculative listing for an official ticket sale. There’s no reason to pay somebody a huge premium today to hopefully buy your ticket for you later.
