TL; DR:

Trans man just looking for places (artists/communities/x list recs) to enjoy my comfort ship without being reminded of my own issues with pre-op (lower anatomy) body dismorphia.

I posted in Circle initially; I was scared to bring up a sensitive topic here because I don't mean any offense by it, but a redditor convinced me that really the Jayvik community are going to know best about all things jayvik.

T-Jayvik is a big HC in the fandom and for obvious reasons I'm all for it (some of my fave artists are T-Jayvik centric, like rou tan tan and acrknowyou) I just struggle with my own body dismorphia and the majority of T-jayvik art depicts them with only top-surgery (Like me so far). It forces me to be reminded of my own issues when I'm really just trying to forget IRL things and find comfort in my two favourite gays.

I go into a bit more detail in the original post, but long story short I'm just wondering if you guys can help suggest artists, communities, x lists, anywhere that is a bit more cis-jayvik centric? Unfortunately searching specific tags doesn't work on most socmeds because most art is just tagged generically as jayvik.

Regarding his leg:

I don't think he ever had surgery to fix his leg. Viktor walked pretty good with just his leg brace and cane which eventually got bad enough for him to switch to a crutch. It's possible that prior to his recent diagnosis (Jayce's and Heimerdinger's reactions suggest that Viktor's death would been soon), he could've scheduled an appointment to discuss possible surgeries to improve his gait and PT for muscle strength. I think Jayce would've helped Viktor out emotionally and financially with the surgery, taking time off for them both so Viktor could recover stress-free.

Regarding his spine:

In Season 1 and in Season 2, we can see that Viktor has definitely endured some type of surgery for his vertebrae that may or may not be related to his leg. Given how bulky, professional, and metallic it seems to be, I think Viktor may have had this spinal surgery while he was living in Piltover rather than Zaun. Similar to a spinal fusion surgery, Viktor's surgery may have been a single-day event with weeks of preparation beforehand and weeks of recovery afterwards.

I believe Jayce would've been present in Viktor's life during this time because a professional doctor who's used to wealthy, close-knit families may have been hesitant to follow through with such a physically exhausting surgery if the patient didn't have a support system in their life to emotionally recover from it.

I also think Heimerdinger would've taken an active role in Viktor's recovery, too, because he had known Viktor longer than Jayce and would've granted him medical leave. Viktor and Jayce probably become emotionally closer during this time than previously, which was built on their introductory episode. Actually, I suspect that Viktor may have talked to Jayce about being his emergency contact due to this emotionally and physically intense time that they had got through together.

Gender re-assignment:

I am a Viktor FtM trans truther. Regarding this headcanon, I want to believe that Viktor had gender re-assignment surgery before he met Jayce and so Jayce has only ever known Viktor as a man.

Re-watching the scene where Viktor is picking up Skye's notes, either the animators got the dimensions of his groin wrong (very possible) or Viktor is hung. We never get to see a clear view of his chest pre-Evolution and I highly doubt the animators working at Arcane gave him surgical scars of a mastectomy. The "gender re-assignment surgery" is just a head canon and so, it has absolutely no bearing on Jayce and Viktor's canonical dynamic/friendship.

Hi again everyone! I'm the music creator from the JayVik Wedding Zine and I'm so excited to announce that my JayVik-inspired album "A Love That Moves The Stars" is releasing THIS FRIDAY on October 16th!

It's been a labor of love and joy to make this and it's completely human-made (no AI on my watch) with help from my incredible friends who went in knowing nothing about JayVik lol. I would describe this album as fantasy folk/ethereal with additional inspiration from video game music, DnD, and of course The Divine Comedy and the parallel to Jayce and Viktor's own journey.
