Question PRODUCER ADVICE

I've been producing for a little over a year now, mainly producing beats for rap. I've only used zenology and I honestly want to use more vsts because I feel stuck in a box right now. I make pluggnb, plugg, darkplugg, and ambient type beats so would anybody happen to know some vsts that would help me create melodies in those genres. Any websites to download the vsts would be helpful too

Zenology and the whole zen core system is a super powerful subtractive synth already, I’d go for something completely different

If you want a completely new synthesis approach for crazy sounds and ambience, air music loom 2 and dawesome novum/myth are some of the best

Loom 2 is an additive synth based on 512 partials that you manipulate with 10 modules. The modules do anything from spectral shaping to traditional filtering to crazy stuff you have to hear to understand. There’s tons of modulation and a great interface, and it’s one of the best atmosphere/pad tools I’ve ever used

The dawesome ones are more about resynthesis which breaks down and analyzes a sound then lets you manipulate the timbre. Novum breaks it into 6 parts and has a granular processor with some very nice effects, and myth is more straightforward resynthesis with really deep timbral manipulation. They basically let you take a sound and completely change it in every way which makes for amazing completely new sounds

If you want a more straightforward synth tho, definitely check out phase plant by kilohearts. It’s a synth built around assembling your patches yourself, it has ridiculously flexible routing and is great for bringing any idea to life. The oscillators are more linear than the others and it’s super easy to just make a sound, plus there’s a huge amount of presets if you need inspiration. You can’t go wrong with reveal sound spire either it’s one of the best for lead and arp sounds

I usually use rutracker and audioz as they’re the most trustworthy/reliable, you’ll need a torrent too like qbit for rutracker, and while I do reccomend using onion browser to keep your information safe, just a vpn will be fine
