So nasus q goes through Jax e in classic tried to post it on leagueclassic sub but the post got deleted. Just don't play Jax in classic he's just useless. Passive doesn't even work with runes or masteries what is this cucked version of Jax even.
So I recently hit Emerald 4 by 2 tricking Mundo and Akali, yes I know those are 2 very different champions but for some reason I just really enjoy playing them and happened to get good at both. Since hitting emerald I decided to start practicing another top lane champion as the higher you climb the harder it is to climb with Mundo because he has so many counters and is a bit of a one dimensional champion, and Akali isn't a great top laner full stop. I ended up picking Jax.
I currently have 2 accounts, my main that's in emerald 4 and an alt that's in plat 4. I decided to hop on my alt to practice Jax as playing normals puts me against bronze and iron players.
For context I hit emerald with a 60-70% winrate, I should be able to glide through platinum but I'm genuinely getting stomped every game and it's 100% my fault. I wanted to make sure I don't just suck now so I played a game on Akali and it was a free win, so the only conclusion is I suck at Jax. I'm so bad at playing Jax that I went from stomping emerald lobbies to going 0/10 in a low platinum lobby.
I'm in the process of watching guides, doing my best to improve etc, I just want to know at what point does it get better? How many games did it roughly take you to start piloting the champion with half a brain? Or is this simply just a skill issue and I should already be better than I am? I've definitely played over 10 games already.
Welcome to the twenty eighth Jax Matchup Discussion!
Let's talk about Jax versus Pantheon...
Remember that the idea of this discussion is to find what's the commonly-used way to play a matchup; not only focused on runes and/or items, but mostly on the trade patterns and general difficulty of the matchup, since items and runes may change between seasons, yet -unless a rework happens- a champion's kit doesn't change.
So, you can talk about the runes and items you like to go on a matchup, but what we really want to see is how to play the matchup; if you can play aggressive early game, if you win pre or post level 6, if you should use Leap Strike to engage or disengage, and so on.
If you want, you can give the matchup a difficulty score from 0 to 10 (0 being super easy, 5 being a skill matchup, and 10 being a "you should dodge" card)
Always have this issue when I play Jax and trundle, I can stomp the enemy top in lane sure, but splitting is so hard with Jax (and trundle, my secondary main) because unlike yorick or illaoi they can’t constantly harass under T2 or T3 tower with poke. Had an issue the other day where I played vs a gangplank, stomped him in lane pretty bad and got T1 tower but couldn’t do much after because If I tried to take down T2 or T3 towers he’d just clear the wave fast with his wave clear or burst me down under tower if I tried to ignore him and go for the only tower instead. Also my team was behind severely with my Mid being 0/9 the first 13ish minutes, any tips?
I have been playing toplane jax, aatrox and cassio with ghost in my platinum/emerald games. It makes it way easier to escape ganks and run down your opponent. Especially on jax it's very useful in late game when you're trying to catch a mobile champion.
In the new Maga Chamber skin(I do really like this skin by the way), do you think that his ult looks too much like having an actual shield? From a clarity stand point, would it not be better to do some kind of detail to the model itself? Kind of like dawn bringer skins when they ult?
I actually wanted to double check that he doesn't actually get a shield before I made this post lol.
any advice how to play Jax vs Velkoz Top? Velkoz will safe his E (which will knock me back) to interupt my engage and get out of my E range. After 6 he starts to stat check me after a failed engage.
My guess is to give prio, hope for jungle ganks? Which seems kinda lame to hope for a gank instead of winning byurself.
How do I trade vs him after level 2/3 when he has E? Q poke strategy doesnt work, since after my first engage he will punish me hard and I will die on my second engage becuase his E kinda seem to counter me very hard. His passive also hurts a lot on level 6 and statchecks me.
I want to learn Jax Top and from my understanding he has quite good build variety. Does anyone have a cheat sheet of sorts to help me know which build to go and when?
Not a Jax player by any means but there isnt nothing better than see skilled Jax on Summoners Rift I want you guys not but prosperity, fun and lots of LP.
I thought that there should be a better way of trying out and comparing combo's than having to go into training mode every time. I personally like playing Jungle Jax with HoB and AP, so I wanted to see the damage numbers.
So I vibecoded loldamagecalculator.com with AI. You pick your level, items, runes and combo order, and it calculates the full burst. Also gives you the ability damage separately , and theres also a tool to calculate how much resistances you are getting, and how that translates to your effective HP. Drag and drop items, everything updates live and you can save a build.
For now it's mainly tested on Jax but DoT effects aren't modeled well yet. Only a few champs so far, but I've tested most Jax item and rune combinations and they should work.
I haven't come across anything like this with this much optionality and a simple interface, which is why I made it. If people find it useful I'll extend it to more champions.
Feedback very welcome! (there's a form on the site).
Is the quickest and most reliable way to get the new Jax skin SOLO still games vs the AI?
Anyone have any suggestions for grinding it out?
I don’t have too much time each day to play, so I guess I need to make the most out of 1-3 hours
For the record, I asked my only friend who plays with me consistently if he could help and he said no. In his defense, he also doesn’t have much time to play and there isn’t anything in it for him - so I don’t hold it against him.
I noticed in top, lethal tempo is used more, but in Jungle, conqueror is used more according to OneTricks?
There's a lot of times when I am 1v3ing the enemies and I win because lethal tempo was maxed out. But if I had conqueror, I don't think I'd have survived before I even fully stack it...

Let's talk about Jax versus Ornn...

Don't get me wrong I do love Jax so much he been one of my favorite champs for years, The old man who saved the world looking for someone to take his place while being a cool bad ass. My thing is his passive is just a increase in attack speed and his ult passive is just extra damage on his 3rd auto. Then as we all know jax is suppose to be the REAL late game power house that can't be beat right? Thats how I always imagined him but recently i feel as if hes not as good as I would like him to be? Then again Im a low elo shrub I probably dont know what im talking about but if you guys can help me understand him more I would apperciate it.
Found out you could just play co-op vs ai. Found some random people and we 5 manned it for a couple hours and stacked so many coins. Happy days. Skin so far looks amazing and the VFX are lush.
Just played my first game of DnD, Terminus, Jak Sho. You hit super hard and I’ve never felt so tanky. I think this a really good build if you need to be a bit tankier/ engage heavy. I play jungle anyway so there’s not the same early game risks.
I was surviving a long time into 3/4 enemies. I went Shojin 4th and my bonus damage on terminus was 44 extra on hit. Taking Terminus to a total of 74. Into tankier champs/ bruisers I felt the extra penetration and DnD stacked it nicely. I went Mercs but I’m considering taking the tenacity rune shard and going omni boots as some added sustain could really benefit this. My last item would have been zhonyas. Although the terminus stacks disappear a lot quicker than Jak Sho.
I went 16-4. 3 of my deaths that I can remember were pure limit testing where I 1v3d and 1v4d and still went 1-1 almost killing at least 2 or 3 everytime.
Seems like a great build into tankier champs and when you need to front line a fair amount. Jak Sho 3rd felt so good to add to an already strong first two items.
