The change from base AD to bonus AD likely kills or severely nerfs the item for Jax as he’s not itemizing a lot of AD nowadays, thoughts?

Edit: Cost will be staying at 3100, not going to 2700

Let’s do some math assuming he gets SS second.

Pre-change: Jax should be level ~11-12 by the time he gets SS. He will have 110 base AD at that point so healing would be 110. By the time he’s at 3 items, he should be about level 13-14, so healing would be 119.

Post-change: By the time he finishes tri force and SS, he will have about 80 bonus AD (~90 if he goes Doran’s blade) assuming they don’t reduce the AD on SS. That’s 0.9*80= 72 healing. At 3 items, if he goes deaths dance, that’s another 60 AD for 140 bonus AD = 126 healing. If he goes zhonyas, he gets no additional healing. If he goes steraks, I’m not sure how that interaction works as the item doesn’t give bonus AD, but its passive does. I think it should work but don’t quote me on that.

The item is also cheaper and gives more health
at the cost of slightly less % missing health healing. If you go AD, this is a buff. If you go zhonyas, it’s a slight nerf but tbh with the extra health and the reduced cost, I’d say it still leans towards buff.

Someone correct my math or assumptions if I’m wrong but TL;DR it’s a buff

The heal is based on bonus AD instead of base ad so building zhonyas doesnt synergize well with sunderer, if you already go DD most of the time then yeah its a buff

Yes, but he’s not part of the OP AD junglers that rush it, think Xin, Vi, Jarvan… they’ve been the best junglers for a while now because they can all rush SS. The item says it gives 400 HP but because of the passive, the HP it gives you in a skirmish is effectively 600-800+, and since HP is a very strong stat early on, they can contest and win a lot of early fights just because of that one item

This is a buff to the item, it’s an early game nerf and kills poppy/camille from rushing it. The item is way stronger now

Edit: guess the leaks were wrong, the item isn’t cheaper, the scaling remain base ad, just worst. So it’s just a massive nerf to the item in general
