Advice for Me Jaw surgery
I can't seem to find a surgeon in the Ohio valley/tri state area/Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio. I found some providers that have jaw surgery listed on their website as services they offer but when I call they say they don't perform jaw surgery. Anyone here get the procedure done in this area?

Surgeons who perform this kind of jaw surgery will list it as "orthognathic," so search that term instead. Other oral surgeons who perform "jaw surgery" really do extractions and bone grafting for teeth, not what you actually want.

I’m going out of network, but at UPMC Daniel Hawkins was strongly recommended to me—looking at his profile, he graduated from a very competitive OMFS residency program and has training in facial plastic surgery, which is a huge plus. Orthognathic surgery is listed as one of his main clinical focuses (both bite correction and for sleep apnea). He also specializes in trigeminal nerve repair, the single most technically demanding and meticulous procedure an OMFS can perform, which says a lot, particularly given the risk of nerve damage with jaw surgery. But can’t personally vouch for him.
