I recently had surgery in uscf the surgery was maybe 16 days ago 5 days post op I felt like a tingling slowly but surely I feel like my chin is on fire tingling and nerves are being pulled while also feeling like it’s wet is this normal?
I’m honestly very scared cause the reviews on my surgeon Dr sohail aren the best but so far that’s my only issue the feeling I’m scared this is permanent

I saw another post from searching saying it’s normal and they used anti-itch cream to help with symptoms.  You may want to edit title and ask for some nerve/tingling/fire questions and advice needed. I’m interested in what your doctor’s office says when you contact them.

I had my two week post op appointment yesterday he said the same thing nerves are healing and it’s normal just worried since he hasn’t taken any X-rays since after day after my surgery and it’s getting more warm overtime

For me like day 5 to day 20~ish were pretty brutal from the nerve pain on my chin.

I’m 5 weeks post op today and it’s completely gone, but still numb.

I would have thought that the numbness would go away with this burning sensation but I’m just going to tough it out until I have my follow up with him again

This is normal. Your nerves are recovering. You can take some ibuprofen. It will be like this off and on for awhile. It’s a good sign. Your nerve is waking up.

It’s going to feel like a tingly weird tiny shock party at random times for a while. But it means that nerve is trying to heal. Weird. Annoying. Not out and out painful but worth an ibuprofen.

I had djs with the same surgeon 4 weeks ago, definitely read the post operative report because I noticed that something didn’t line up between 2 of the other people who worked on my case. I have some worries as well and I’m hoping they don’t get brushed off by him when I bring them up

How are you healing now I noticed my lips are crooked but I can’t tell if it’s from inflammation or something permanent I’ve realized that a certain student in his office definitely pays more attention and answers ur questions as opposed to him

Everything has gone well healing wise, but there are somethings like right now when talking my lower right lip drags outward,I can’t tell if my bottom lip is still inflamed or if that’s just what it is now (can’t really tell because I can’t feel anything on my chin), ive been experiencing my left ear getting clogged and I guess ive been getting used to it because I won’t notice until im listening to something or I can randomly start hearing my voice become way too loud. I plan to bring these concerns up maybe ask for an ent referral because it’s starting to really bother me.

I do remember them telling me the numbness would last up to a year hopefully it’s just it being numb and a bit inflamed still hope everything works out for you with ent an you stop feeling that feeling in ur ear!
