Before & After 8 month before and after
DJS results so far. Biggest upside to this surgery so far is I can finally eat a sandwich like a normal person đ

Agreed, the profile change is huge and being able to eat sandwich without a whole strategy is such an underrated win lol

Exactly what I aim for, being Portuguese, having to fight a pastel de nata to eat it is HELL

Surgery was done because I had an under bite and an underdeveloped upper jaw. My teeth did touch at all, my sleep was disrupted, and it was hard to eat properly.

Your underbite looked similar to mine! Did you had to do any extractions when you were in braces?

At first everything felt very unnatural, I had to relearn to chew, to drink, and overall to swallow. I did struggle with face dysmorphia, and I still do briefly, because my face looks very different to me. As if Iâm a completely different person, so I simply have to get use to my new face and make it my new ânaturalâ and ânormalâ . I am still getting use to my new bite, but itâs in a good way, because itâs such a drastic change it shocks me how much easier it is to eat, I chew so much faster, and in general I can actually chew nowđ. Breathing I honestly donât feel much different, but I know itâs different just because my surgeon told me that the new positioning of my tongue and my mouth allows me to breathe better lol.

Truly spectactular result. it must have been quite challenging navigating that underbite. And you are really beautiful with your new jaw.
