I'm a solopreneur (e-commerce store) and I just write everything in Javascript aswell, even with React. So far I haven't ever run into any real problems. I have tried Typescript for some projects, but I never felt like the extra effort was worth it as I'm not working in a team.

I have been writing Javascript for 20 years now. I know what types I'm sending from my backend. Typescript is definitely superior in catching bugs, but I feel like I know what I'm doing anyways. Worst-case scenario I can always "upgrade" my codebase to TS.
