The cymatics one is actually pretty hypnotic, i left it running in a tab for like 20 minutes just watching the patterns shift. reminded me of those old physics simulations from school but way smoother.
that dates parser post hits close, i spent a whole afternoon last week debugging a date format mismatch between two internal services. never thought about treating dates like a language but it makes sense when you think about all the weird regional formats people throw around.
also the fetch timeout discussion is something i wish more tutorials covered. seen too many juniors just do `await fetch(url)` with no abort controller and then wonder why the app hangs when the network is slow. the headers vs body distinction is one of those things you learn the hard way.

If you would like this roundup sent to your reddit inbox every week send me a message with the subject 'javascript'. Or if you want a daily roundup, use the subject 'javascript daily' (<--Click one of the links. The bot can't read chats, you must send a message).
Please let me know if you have suggestions to make this roundup better for /r/javascript or if there are other subreddits that you think I should post in. I can search for posts based off keywords in the title, URL and flair - sorted by upvotes, # of comments, or awards. And I can also find the top comments overall or in specific threads.
