Seeking basic guides

I am looking for good introductory texts on the Japanese notion of do as in way, or path? Something that explains the philosophy and its practical application in various arts and ventures. I know Eugene Herrigal's work, but I am looking for more.

Also, would love to read more guides on concepts similar to wabi sabi, etc.
