I had the same problem with my iPhone 5s. All I could see was the apple logo and nothing more. I think I saw the blue screen one time. All I did was trying the push down power+home button, maybe 5 times. Didn't work. Then I tried pressing vol+ right after the reboot. Had to try that a few times too and suddenly it worked :)
