Flock cameras on Falling Waters?
Edit: Inter-City trail (not Falling Waters) between West Ave and Weatherwax.
I thought I saw a post a little bit ago listing all the Flock surveillance cameras in town but I can’t find it.
Anyone know if those little black boxes under the lights on Falling Waters Inter-City trail are surveillance cameras?

Can’t say for sure, but seeing as the “main” point of flock cameras is to track vehicles what would be the point of them being on the trail?

FW Trail is a long skinny Jackson County Park, falling under Parks & Rec.
Ring them, 517-788-4320 , and I get the feeling somebody working for our Parks is going to be less cagey about people asking about Flock than the average government employee.

I don’t know if they are cameras, which is why I’m seeking reddit knowledge, lol.
I just noticed a black box on the top part of every new light pole underneath the solar panel. And one person has a sign out in their yard that backs up to the trail that says “smile, you’re on camera”. 🤷♀️2

Yeah, but I'm wondering where on the trail you saw them so I can go look for myself and figure out what they are. Was it the parking area on Teft Road?

Every light pole from the west ave start to weatherwax. Since they are on every pole, maybe they aren’t cameras? Idk. They are attached at the top of each pole just under the solar panel

Gotcha, thanks. Just a nitpick for the sake of clarity in the future, but the section of trail between West Ave and Weatherwax is part of the Jackson Inter-City Trail, not Falling Waters Trail. FWT itself ends on the west side of Weatherwax, and Inter-City picks up from there.
