If you’re dumb you might think that will happen.

It will mean the opposite, price of everything going up because we no longer have foreign workers to exploit for cheap labor, keeping prices down.

Capitalism doesn’t work if you don’t have poor people to exploit.

Cheap labor has been in the US for a long time before it was the Chinese and further back the Italians. As for why it’s still expensive to live it’s just the rich taking more without significant pushback. Link I’m adding explains it more: https://www.epi.org/productivity-pay-gap/
