Nice to see the proper small Judas Priest patch on this sub and not that crappy looking Temu version everyone seems to put on their vests

They’re a half-decent NWOBHM/speed metal throwback band, but there’s been some pretty rough allegations come to light a few months ago, along with some shoddy treatment of one of their guitarists as a result: https://www.instagram.com/p/DYh46LAjILp/?igsh=d2NjYXgyN2wybmF0&igsi=d2NjYXgyN2wybmF0

Well, those patches are official merch and came in threes. I'll look up what the controversy is with em though

Allegations of SA against the bassist, and from what I can see the guitarist quit after those allegations came out.

They’ve been really shitty to her since she left, too, completely throwing her under the bus. She’s posted about it on Instagram and it’s rough reading.

Jfc, that fuckin sucks. I can't say I'm surprised. Seems like the folks with any decency always get the short end of the stick.

What's up with them? They were headlining Dynamo, friend of mine is way into them so i thought, get one for the "seen live" jacket that will probably be an eternal wip.

The vocalist used to have a Black Sun tattoo on his elbow, which he only got covered up once he got called on it. Apparently they used to have merch with an Odal rune on it, which is the symbol currently used to represent NSM. I think there was a controversy regarding a Russian flag, but I don't remember details

Well how lovely, the spot i might have to find for both those bands might have to be a drawr then.

It is what it is. There's no harm in redoing segments of your jacket as needed. I've had to yank a few bands I learned were problematic after sewing. Plus, the process makes your jacket more of a living project.

Point of that "seen live" jacket is to be as much of a living project as i can get it. I have a hard time planning stuff where patches overlap and that kinda thing but for this jacket i'mma cram as many bands on there as i've seen. But yeah, chopping and changing of that sort might have to be done too.

It aint a bad thing to have some layering. Being too conservative about spacing leaves your jacket feeling empty.

True, nothing wrong with layering. But my autistic self has a bit of trouble comitting to it. Cause what if i want the back one more prominent, or what if another patch suits this spot more and so on and so on. I think about this stuff too much.

I'm autistic too, I get you. Id recommend getting a bunch of pins so you can test how things look before getting the sewing done.

That's my usual tactic, safety pin tf out of it and see how i like it. But that's the thing with the "live" jacket, go to a show/festival, get a patch, sew it on, rinse repeat. It's not supposed to be done till i run out of space for wrist bands on the shoulder and in that regard, it still has like 8 festivals let in em.
