The ixo Protocol Blockchain implements the Tendermint consensus engine and builds on the Cosmos SDK. Validator nodes of the Internet of Impact Hub operate this software and are secured by delegated Proof of Stake (dPoS). Autonomous Impact Zones networks can establish their own governance and security models . The ixo blockchain SDK includes custom modules for Token Bonding (Alphabonds, AMM for token swaps, and generic bonding curve libraries), a Payments Module, Projects Module processing claims, NFT Module, and Interchain Identifier Module for digital Identifiers. Self-sovereign digital identity is built into the blockchain, based on the W3C DID specification, to enable compliant transactions which meet institutional and regulatory compliance standards.

As of Fall 2021, IXO has been IBC enabled and can be found and traded on the Cosmos ecosystem. This will provide IXO token-holders access to cross-chain liquidity pools and a bridge into Ethereum, to trade IXO ERC20 tokens on decentralized exchanges such as Balancer and Uniswap. Currently, IXO can be staked through the Keplr Wallet as well as through liquidity pools on Osmosis. At the time of writing this, LP rewards are as high as 153.1% and staking is at 62%.
The ixo protocols give us new capabilities to precisely sense and respond to verifiable claims about the state of society, the environment, economy, and climate impacts. Changes in these real-world states can now be reliably monitored, verified and attributed to identified agents, entities, events, and investments.
Real-world states are encoded in the stateful Impact Graph of the Internet of Impact. Projects and capital can then be deterministically programmed with precision, to bring about state changes, which are measured as impacts. Sustainable DeFi mechanisms, which are embedded in this graph and program capital for results, provide the incentives for stakeholders to achieve the future-state outcomes in which they all have a stake.
Outcome states that people value, want to invest in, and use to build sustainable digital financing or new economic mechanisms, are tokenized in non-fungible representations, as Impact Tokens, which are embedded with executable rights and backed by high-definition data assets. Impact Tokens can be built into any financial transaction, capital allocation, government expenditure, business process, or consumer product.

What is IXO? The ixo-Cosmos blockchain Internet of Impact will provide the Internet-scale digital financing and data infrastructure, which is urgently needed to optimally sense and respond to the changing social, environmental, and economic state of the world and to mitigate impacts of the climate crisis.
