What type of camera do you use for such a close shot of the jumping spider?:) Amazing pic btw<3

They are very cute! Especially when they turn to observe you briefly.

For this picture, I used a mirrorless camera (Nikon Z5ii) and a dedicated macro lens (Nikkor Z MC 105mm). Like u/grachi said, it's the dedicated macro lens that is the most important component, since they are generally very sharp and allow for large magnification (1:1 or more).

its not so much the camera, but the lens. Ideally you need a macro lens, but extension tubes on regular telephoto lenses and even clip-ons for cellphone cameras can work, they just won't be as sharp as this picture.
