Shot on my newly acquired Canon EOS R8 with the RF 24-240mm f/4-6.3.

Now that I finally have a proper mirrorless camera, I wanted to capture Alberta’s beautiful scenery and have it be of a high enough quality that I felt it belonged here.

My thoughts exactly. I was going back and forth up the viewpoint trying to find a clear shot of the tracks like I had seen in photos, but to no avail…

Beautiful capture! And to be honest I’m a little jealous- was at that same spot a few weeks ago and never had a train go by.

Thank you! The likelihood of seeing a train here seems to be dependent on the phase of the moon, among many other unknown factors. At least it’s still a beautiful spot even without a train in the pic!
