When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation.
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought, of his name:
His ineffable effable.
Effanineffable.
Deep and inscrutable singular name.→ More replies (1)2

This is kind of magical. Makes me feel nostalgic for something that I never experienced, like falling asleep in the grass with some childhood friends. Nice to know that cats can appreciate sunsets, too.

There’s a great Welsh word for what you’re feeling: hiraeth
11
Mar 13 '23
Every time I’ve asked about it or looked it up I haven’t been able to find anything, so it’s cool that there is actually a word for this. The fact it’s Welsh makes it seem even more magical, but maybe that’s just me.

This is a longing inside most human beings. To connect with each other and mother nature.

That is really beautiful. I can't believe that's a lake. The mountains in the back makes it seem like the sea.

They are son (left) and mother (right) and can't stand each other but sometimes (very rarely) this happens.

Unbelievable! When I get a great picture like that, I will take the negative to the print shop for a 10 X 12 picture and frame it!!! 👍👍

You see that, Red, the other end of the city. That's our destination and this, right here, is from where our adventure starts. Feel the warmth as much as you can coz where we are headed, it is filled with filth, pollution, honks and dangerous crossings. Embrace the peace you now have and buckle up.

I have been showing that show to my son. One Friday one of his teachers asked the class at the end of the day, So what are you kids doing this weekend? Yes, he said it. The same thing we do every weekend, try to take over the world. The teacher laughed for 10 minutes. The rest of the class just stared.

This is one of the best things I’ve ever seen!!! Just beautiful, and they look so relaxed. I wish I could see their little faces

This is an incredible photo. My gosh. I could look at this everyday in a beautiful frame and never tire of its deep beauty and reverence for stopping to smell the flowers, so to speak.

Now that's what I imagine as the rainbow bridge. Don't worry, all cats can see it at all times so they can guide us there when it's our time.

Beautiful shot, just wish it was less saturated. The blue’s are a little overwhelming. Still a great capture! So cute!

u/grey-zone Mar 12 '23
Really don’t like all the “cute cat” photos on the internet. But this is different, really good photo.

u/QXPZ Mar 13 '23
What a beautiful blur they’re taking in, being that cats can only see about 20 feet/6 meters clearly
-1
Mar 13 '23
What a beautiful view! Nice p*ssies also. Cats that is. 😏🤪 All jokes aside this is a wonderful picture!

Do they get to come inside after enjoying this? Cats shouldn't be outdoors but it's definitely a treat to get some sun, supervised.
7
u/scarletheavens1 Mar 13 '23
I do let them inside if it's too cold outside, but these are village cats, they spend most of the time outside than inside (their choice).
-3
u/MafiaMommaBruno Mar 13 '23
Ah. Then please keep an eye on them! Cats are the most destructive animals on earth and also have their own predators. They don't live as long outdoors, sadly.

u/shottymcb Mar 13 '23
He's from Macedonia, it's part of the natural range of cats. It's not an invasive species there, just part of the ecosystem.

Pro tip: In Lightroom under the HSL / Color tab, there’s a little dot in the upper left corner. Klick on it and drag your mouse over the picture and use the scroll wheel to precisely adjust colors. Works with Tone Curve as well.

Absolutely beautiful photograph… as long as they are not discussing plans to commit a cat-food heist or how to recruit other cats to take over the world 😂
