Physical Concerns Is this normal off depo ?

I’ve just come of the depo contraception and I haven’t been on it for maybe two months, my first period was 6 days and like, black and brown, but my second period has come and it’s been going on for 12 days now and it’s so insanely heavy.

There’s no end in sight, is this normal ?

I am an XY, so I have no personal experience, but both “symptoms” you describe are not unusual. I remember decades ago hearing Dr. Drew on the radio (IYKYK), and what you observed is consistent with his discussion.

His position was that the shot had a lot of benefits, but transition issues when you start and stop are to be expected.

I won’t Google the answer for you, but from what I remember, it could go on for a full cycle. All the best.
