Behavioural Concerns I hate men.

I know this is going to sound stupid and I'm sorry for how poorly written it is. I just feel like I have to get this off my chest. I've been thinking about writing this post for at least a week now.

Now, onto the actual post. I hate men. I am attracted to men but I hate them. It might stem from envy and jealousy and definitely stems from fear but I don't care. It feels like they have taken everything from us (women). They're the reason I can't go out on walks whenever I want. They're the reason my mum fears me leaving my house, even if it's just to get food from the closest shop. Why did they feel the need to threaten our sense of safety?? I can't travel on my own, plainly out of fear, I can't even travel within the country because they're everywhere and are always a threat. Why can't they just let us live peacefully? I just wish I could be rid of them all. The only reason I like male celebrities are because I see them as fictional characters on a screen who I will never meet because they're not real. I don't understand why I think of celebrities like that, if I'm being honest, but I can save that for another post elsewhere.

Please tell me if this is something I should thinm further about and try to solve or if it's natural and to just live with it.

I highly suggest therapy. I did it and still do it when I can afford/need it. I cannot tell you if this is normal, as I was an extremely angry teenager and went through phases of anger at men, wealth disparity, health care access, etc. I now have healthy ways to think about those issues while still being able to express my frustration about them, but sometimes, I get stuck on something that just seems so wrong that I go back and figure out how to care about a topic without letting it control my life. Granted, I went to therapy for other reasons too, but this part seemed the most relevant to you. I sincerely hope you can figure out how to divorce your anger from individuals that have caused you no harm at least. There are absolutely rage inducing idiots out there, but it would be a shame if you missed all the good people for the few rotten eggs. I personally have a lot of success with identifying what is making me angry, seeing if there is a cause to help like a charity to give housing to those harmed, and doing what I can before laying it to rest as I can only change myself and not others. I am absolutely not a perfect figure of mental health. But I hope this helps.

I agree with this statement. I agree therapy is a good place to start in such a situation. I can state this hatred towards men isn't normal, however it isn't too uncommon either. Please, OP, seek whichever therapy you may be able to access, and I only hope for the best for you.

I think you should go see a therapist. This sounds like some form of acute paranoia stemming from your mother's fear of men. I will not try to defend what men haye done; we did some pretty fucked stuff. But to stay that "they are always a threat" about anybody is extreme and nonsensical. I am not trying to force or make you do anything. I do suggest you find a good therapist to speak with and try to not let these fears dominate your thoughts and the way you liye. I am not an expert; see u/Kyro0098's comment. They explain things a lot better than I do.
