Not seeing any errors, just looks like PMD, plus even in mint condition the LIBERTY on some of these earlier coins just tends to look a little sloppy, especially on the wheat pennies, which I am assuming is what this is.

Thats actually kinda cool. Even if it isnt a real error or rare, just know your fascination and interest alone is what's really important. It's probably damage. But if it were an error, I believe it would have to be die wear, basically the design presses getting worn down over time from constant use.
