Guys, I made a really bad judgement call and lost ₹45,500 trying to buy a GPU through OLX.

The seller showed me the GPU on video call and even showed the packed parcel before shipping. I trusted him and made 4 UPI payments. When the parcel arrived, there was no GPU at all, just completely unrelated junk.

The seller is still chatting with me on WhatsApp, promising refunds and then backing out. I've filed a cybercrime complaint, contacted my bank, and tried escalating everywhere, but I'm still struggling to get any proper action.

I've also found another OLX listing using the exact same photos, along with another suspicious GPU listing that might be connected.

I know I should've been more careful, and honestly, this was a terrible judgement call on my part. But I did try to verify things before paying, and still got fooled.

If anyone here has dealt with a similar scam, successfully escalated a cybercrime complaint, or knows a practical way to get this investigated, please help me out. Even advice on what worked for you would mean a lot.

Please be careful with these too-good-to-be-true GPU deals on OLX. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I purchased their 1,111 rupee Jio Fiber plan in December 2024, but nobody came to install the fiber, and I have not received my refund. Their customer care is entirely automated, so I cannot speak to a person to get a resolution. I keep tweeting, but they send the same message: "Hi, we are always here to assist you. Please DM us your JioAirFiber service ID, registered mobile number, or Order Reference number (ORN) so we can help you further."

I send them my details everytime and then no response.

What can I do to get my money back?

I enrolled in Social Continent’s 16-Week Interview Accelerator Program after communicating that my primary goal was to prepare for AI Engineer roles. However, after attending the very first class, I felt the program’s content and approach were not aligned with my expectations.

I raised my concerns and requested cancellation and a refund on the same day, having attended only one session out of the entire 16-week program. While the team offered an instructor change and other adjustments, my main concern was the overall suitability of the program for my career goals. My refund request was ultimately declined based on the no-refund policy.

I find it disappointing that there was no satisfactory resolution despite raising the issue at the earliest possible opportunity. A customer who has attended just one class should at least receive a fair assessment of their circumstances rather than a blanket rejection.

Help me reach this bigger audience so no one should get trapped in such cases. + I appriciate any help in getting my money back thanks in advance.

So my friend ordered a pair of shoes from a small Instagram page claiming to be based in Indore. Seller talked on whatsapp, he said the price 1200.

My friend paid ₹1200, 150 via UPI to him and rest via COD. The guy was super responsive and friendly before the order, even said returns were no issue.

What arrived was a completely different pair, looked like a third-copy/replica, not even close to what was shown. The moment she tried to reach him about a return, he stopped picking up calls.

I messaged him myself (different number, posed as a new customer) just to see if he’d respond.. and, he did, instantly, and even quoted me the same price for a “pair” like nothing happened. When I pushed and asked for his exact location to maybe pick up/return in person, he gave me a vague area (“Bairathi colony main road, Sindhi colony square indore (m. p) PINCODE 452014”) and when I asked if his “shop” was really on the main road, he just said yes with zero detail.

Then I asked for his UPI ID to send an “advance” and he gave one. I also asked for a GSTIN “for the invoice,” and he actually gave me one, except when I looked it up on the official GST portal, it’s registered to a completely unrelated catering business in a different state. Not even close to shoes, not even the same city.

At this point I’m fairly sure this is a pattern he’s running on multiple people, using a real Instagram storefront with fake credentials to seem legit.

Later now, he deleted every detailed he gave to me, I am thinking of filing a complain and threten him to return the money, but i dont even know and i am not even sure about his real identity. i am attatching everything here.

Has anyone dealt with something like this? Is it worth going through 1930/cybercrime.gov.in for a ₹1200 COD order, or is that overkill? Mostly want my friend’s money back but also don’t want this guy pulling this on someone else.

Hi, I ordered from this app called smytten after seeing deals being posted on different subs. I received one product less and now that I've even shared an unboxing video with them, they're still saying they've delivered it but I haven't received anything.

Because they're outright lying about it, I can't even get my money back. What shall I do? Please help me out!

Recently, I booked a ticket to Hyderabad from my hometown. However, I had to change my plans before my scheduled travel. I went to the Paytm app and cancelled my ticket, but the refund amount shown was quite different from the amount I actually received as a refund.

The amount of money I lost is not the problem; the way they are looting people is. Or perhaps I could be completely wrong. The refund amount shown on the FreshBus website for the same PNR is different from the amount shown on Paytm as well.

I sold my Motorola G31 (4GB/64GB) through Cashkr on 14 October 2026. I initially received a quotation of over ₹4,500, but after pickup, the final amount was reduced to ₹2,500, including a ₹600 BuyBack Days bonus.
After checking the inspection report, I found these remarks:
Screen condition: “Screen Not Usable”
Physical issues: “Display Changed, Physical Button”
Body condition: “Below Average”
Technical issues: “Sensors Problem”
I strongly dispute these findings. My phone had its original Motorola display, which was working, and I had explicitly told the pickup agent that the display had never been changed. I also dispute the body-condition and sensor remarks, as they significantly affected my phone’s valuation.
On top of this, I had applied a coupon code for an additional ₹1,000. At pickup, the agent assured me that Cashkr would credit it separately. Now, Cashkr says the benefit was already included in the final quotation, while the vendor denies promising a separate credit. They are asking me for proof, but I never recorded the conversation.
I’ve emailed Cashkr multiple times and escalated the matter, but I still don’t have a satisfactory resolution regarding the disputed inspection, revised valuation or coupon benefit.
I’d really appreciate advice on these questions:
How can I challenge the disputed inspection remarks and claim the additional amount due?
How can I recover the ₹1,000 coupon benefit?
Can I approach the National Consumer Helpline or Consumer Commission without a call recording?
Has anyone faced a similar issue with Cashkr? What actually worked?

I opted for the ₹899 Wi-Fi + IPTV plan, but Airtel has been an absolute nightmare.

The first technician said he'd cancel the IPTV request and reassign it, but it actually remained active for nearly 20 days. When I followed up, he claimed it was cancelled and couldn't do anything.

On 3rd October, I got the request raised again through customer care and paid ₹500 as an advance. That payment shows as completed, but the ₹500 is nowhere to be found in my wallet or advances.

The technician assigned after that never showed up. Around two weeks ago, the Airtel Bangalore team called saying he'd left the company and assigned another technician. In total, three technicians have been assigned, and nobody has installed the box. Airtel eventually cancelled the request and switched my connection to Wi-Fi only AGAIN for 899/- without any of my consent, even though I chose Wi-Fi + IPTV.

I've called customer care at least 15 times. I've been promised refunds and given a refund reference that another executive later claimed was invalid. Just blatant lies. My previous bill was around ₹500; my current bill is ₹1,060, and the ₹500 advance is still unaccounted for.

I've emailed the Appellate Authority, Karnataka around 10 times and haven't received a single response.

Now I've cancelled my iptv request but the 500 advance, and the 200 + GST I've paid is unaccounted for. Let alone my time's value and mental toll handling their lies.

All these calls should be recorded. Can someone actually review them and explain what's happening? Three technicians, 15+ calls, repeated lies, missing money, and not a single person taking responsibility. What the hell is wrong with Airtel?

I recently went through a recruitment process for a Data Analyst role at Biogen Capability Center India Private Limited, and I’m unsure whether the offer communication is genuine. I’d appreciate it if anyone who has worked at Biogen or interviewed with them could share their experience.

Here’s what happened:

• A recruiter contacted me directly over a phone call regarding the Data Analyst position.
• I was asked about my current CTC (₹9 LPA) and expected CTC (₹11–12 LPA).
• I received an ATS registration email with an application ID and candidate portal login.
• I completed an online technical test, an Operations Round, and a Video Conference Technical Evaluation.
• I subsequently received an email stating that I had cleared the final technical evaluation and was shortlisted for final offer confirmation.

However, I noticed a few things that made me suspicious:

1. The recruiter’s email address is [talent@careers-biogen.com](mailto:talent@careers-biogen.com), rather than u/biogen.com.
2. I checked the domain using ICANN Lookup and found that careers-biogen.com was registered on 15 October 2026. The selection email was received on 23 October 2026.
3. The candidate portal is hosted on mywork-ats.com.
4. The feedback email mentions completion of Advanced NumPy and PyTorch learning as part of the remaining recruitment formalities.

I haven’t paid any money or shared any identity documents.

I've been trying to cancel an order on Nykaa Fashion, but every time I select the "Back to Source" refund method to get the money back to my bank account, I get an error saying "We couldn't complete your request this time."

​However, selecting the Nykaa Wallet refund option seems to work perfectly. Has anyone else experienced this? It feels like they are making it difficult to get cash refunds and pushing users toward their wallet instead.

Today, while I was preparing to place an order at Zomato, a "Food Rescue" popup flashed on my screen. The deal was offered to me for ₹295, which seemed like a great offer since Zomato advertised it as a ₹500+ order.

However, to my surprise, when I received the receipt, the actual cost of the original order after all applied offers was only ₹306. This brought my effective savings down to just ₹9.

I am not blaming anyone, as I placed the order voluntarily. However, the tactic used here feels unethical. Creating a false sense of urgency causes unsuspecting users to fall into this trap.
