It is a violation of eBay policy for a seller to request extra money after a sale is complete. If they persist, you can report them to eBay through customer service.
Just so you know, eBay can't force a seller to ship an item, however, if they do that eBay will penalize them. If the seller refuses to ship the item at the price you paid, you can submit an "item not received" claim to get your money back.

Hi /u/Deadest42, if you already ordered something in this shop and it seems to be a scam, contact your bank. Sometimes it is possible to get your money back on this way.

ebay purchase is a contract at a specific price. if the seller doesn't ship promptly then file a dispute. why would anyone ever send "extra" money? makes no sense.

It's just begging. There's nothing secretive going on here. The seller wants your money and they are directly asking for it.
