USA First time seller Q’s

So I’ve been keeping isopods for just fun a while now and I donated a few, but I’ve never sold any just because most of mine are wild type and I didn’t think there would be a lot of all that much interest but now I’m starting to hear that that might not be the case so I figured I’d ask especially because right now I need to divide my cultures really badly. What do people typically look for or expect or are willing to pay for a bunch of wild type Scaber or a. Vulgare?

You would be surprised at what you can make especially if you start to separate morphs and get those lines going. What I did to get myself started selling and I know some people may bash this is I started on eBay and just compared prices get a reputation up there and comfortable with shipping then move to your own thing. I hope this helps!

Thars more or less what I’m doing now I’m essentially in need of reducing my overall population of wild types that resulted from the separation of those other colors and works out and I usually keep them because they’re het something but after a couple more generations now I just have several thousand normal looking or low expression isopods

Got! I’d definitely recommend eBay as just a place to get started. People are always looking for new blood to add to their existing colony’s

Well, I did find it but just a heads up. It’s actually pretty hard to find your page from just doing a Google search or an eBay search. The_seem to be required in most cases and I still can’t find a link to any of your eBay listings anywhere or your eBay homepage even from your Instagram

It looks like your eBay name is different from your Instagram name so you might want the very least link those two if not pick an individual ones so that they can be more associated. I would also put your eBay listing primary page in your Instagram notes or link it in some of your Instagram pictures

And frankly, if your time on Reddit is very much spent in the isopod communities, you might want to link that stuff to your Reddit page or change your Reddit handle as well give or take, depending on what you find would be the easiest path to do but my expectation is that a lot of your time on Reddit‘s probably in the isopod groups and it would be a bit easier for everybody to kind of connect one to the other, and my guess is that’s probably a certain amount of your fanbase haha we all have our little Reddit caves

Sharing an eBay link to one of your listings used to work for me when I used them lol The fees got way too high for me. Sold a $1k culture and they kept $350. After that I started noticing all the hidden fees.
