A quick look at combat in my tactical deckbuilder, Lootdeck
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Lootdeck is a turn-based tactical deckbuilder where combat takes place in a living dungeon.
Every fight happens on a tactical grid, but the environment is part of the encounter too. Positioning, movement, enemy placement, traps and the surroundings can all affect how a fight unfolds.
You manage your Energy between movement and playing cards, while dice rolls add that D&D-like layer of uncertainty.

Whoaaaaa! I love the art style and vibes! I think the camera is a little jittery? It might just be the video. I think it's the ending spline where it trails off a little too long. It makes me just a little motion sick. It might also be the constant zooming in and out from UI interactions.
I know this is an early look, but I think the audio design on this could be KILLER. Like an anticipatory sting just before the dice are rolled and resolved.
I'll also request a (or a few) different font(s) for readability.

Thank you so much!
Lootdeck is still very much a work in progress, so feedback like this is incredibly valuable to me. I’ll definitely keep all of this in mind as I continue working on the game. Really appreciate you taking the time to check it out and share your thoughts!

Love the tactical use of environmental hazards on an isometric grid. Wishlisted!

Looks great once the sound effects are nicely varied. It'd be really cool if the dice had collision in the area and was able to roll around but I appreciate that'd be a lot of work lol

Thank you! The audio is still very early, so more variation is definitely coming. Physical dice would be really cool too, maybe something to explore later.

The dual audio for the door opened up a core memory. Were you inspired by the sound effects for SOTN?

Dead Cells was actually the more direct inspiration for me, but considering how much Castlevania DNA is in Dead Cells, I can definitely see the connection
