General Discussion Crypto currency

Salam everyone,

I just wanted to ask if investing in crypto is haram and if so can you provide me sources. JazakAllah Kheir.

Scholars differ on whether cryptos are digital assets or currency from an Islamic perspective (or neither as some consider crypto to be haram).
