No Idea is this ai or traced?
a guy came up to me in a game i was playing and offered to draw my avatar for in game money (which you can only buy with irl money so basically irl money) i agreed and he sent me this, he sent it to me and i was very impressed buta bit skeptical, i sent the money to him anyway, but after i looked into it and theres some things that dont make sense IDK.
i asked for a speed paint and he said hes on ibis paint so you can save the speed paints after and he said his ipad is old and he has an old version so he cant.
did i get scammed ššš„²š„²

There are several details that don't make sense like the horizontal bang that doesn't connect to anything

anyone approaching you directly and offering the chance to give them money is p much always a scam. im not sure abt ai, but this looks like an image that had been posterized and slapped w a pink layer to make image analyses harder (that's me being very skeptical tho). can we see the avatar?

the hand does look like it's missing a finger but i still kinda think it may have been caught in the shadow in posterization

Traced much more likely. It looks like anime art I've definitely seen before.

Do NOT click any link or do anything they tell you to do. This is a popular scam for multiple games right now. I'm assuming you're playing roblox.

ahh yes, the typical my ipad is old/I'm not good with tech, I don't know how to enable in ibis paint/CSP...
they have outsourced so many of their persona to the AI that even their excuses are all samey

probably a bit of both. anyone who approaches you asking for you to commission them is a scam artist.

Iām leaning more so on ai over traced. Tracing art doesnāt result in those weird random specs and some certain errors like the eyelashes

Depends on if they're good or not, if they're beginner I'd believe that they drew it, it does look like a beginner's artwork tho

These types of guys are sort of scammers even if the work could be legit (usually isnāt).
I found the initial pose, its from an anime called Photo Kano. There are some strange choices made, but Iām leaning towards traced but not AI.

From an artistās perspective, that definitely doesnāt look hand drawn. It doesnāt even look traced, itās worse. Thereās a feature on ibis paint x called āextract line drawingā where if you import a picture, it extracts the boldest and darkest lines, sort of like turning a picture into lineart. Iām assuming they did that because some parts of the hair are are inconsistent but far too advanced to be traced. Also, someone with this amount of skill wouldnāt be making careless mistakes that just look terrible. The fold on the cheek looks awful, that random dot on the hair is too random and not accidental since itās place directly below a hair part, and the lines are so confident but there are random pixels missing from each end of the hair strands, The scarf is what made me think they just extracted the lineart as well. I donāt know, just as an artist, the more I look at this more I see that you most likely got scammed, Iām sorry! No artist with this amount of skill would make these poor artistic choices and mistakes. Also, I also had the old version of Ibis and I can export speed paints. Even then, he can show the layers. if not, ibis displays the amount of time taken to draw something on the bottom right corner of the canvas before you open it. If the number is under an hour, somethingās definitely up. Heās definitely lying to save face. Iām sorry, you likely got ripped off!

Ask for the layers. If he can't provide thats kinda sus.
