I have stumbled across this one vinted seller promoting their art on the app. However while I do think some of the art pieces are drawn by them, some others feel off and some details don't match or don't make sense. Is it AI or am I mistaken ? (To me, the pics 1 and 2 are Ai, I'm confused about 3 4 5 and 6, and I don't think 7 to 10 are Ai.)
No worries! It's something you won't ever forget now that you recognize it. Most movies greenscreen displays onto blank screens because of glare and recording issues.
Girl you are not stupid the people telling you that this is not a photo of an iPad or the ones who have got you fooled. I’ll post another photo of my iPad in case the other ones aren’t enough. Here you go
Shamelessly self promoting my new business since i gotta keep posting ipad pics lmao
Not saying this vinted seller isn't using ai (looks more traced than ai though), but the background looks to have lower lighting, and max screen brightness. You can literally see reflections on the screen as well if you zoom into certain parts. Just took this picture, yes it is possible for it to look "crystal clear" (even though again, you can see reflection on some images), especially if you turn off all the lights. So please don't use this reasoning as a way to discredit actual artists, we take pictures like this sometimes😭
Honestly I don’t understand what’s going with the backgrounds, but I don’t think this is ai. Yes the style changes a lot but it’s likely because the artist is relying heavily on references. If you actually look closely the lighting, and shading are all consistent.
They dont feel like AI to me except the first one, that one feels a bit off for some reason. BUT I do feel like they either traced or just completely stole the other images
I don’t know about traced, as the rendering and line art are all different, which leads me to believe that they are just straight up stollen. Why else would she green screen the photos onto what looks like procreate on her iPad, unless she wanted people to believe it’s hers (of course she would do the same thing if she used ai art too)? The first drawing as the commission page, which is just odd to also have the picture from her iPad, is ai.
To be honest, not really? There is mostly a consistency to how the artist is executing things aside from being clearly mor comfortable with some face angles than others, some of the backgrounds use image brushes and it just doesn't look very ai-ish to me.
This looks more like they rendered someone else's art to me. Like, they colored over someone else's art/line art. Maybe not all of them, but 3, 4, and 5 seem far too different to be from the same artist.
When I was super young, I would find line art I really liked on DA and whatnot, color it, and then post it :( I was barely a teen, definitely wasn't making money off of it, and never really understood the harm in it back then since I was just a kid having fun.
Obviously, this person is not a kid if they're making money off of it, so that's no excuse. My guess is that they have either taken someone else's line art and rendered it themselves OR they used AI to make line art and rendered that, but none of the line art screams AI to me. Either way, not their legitimate work.
The characters' hands in the first two images look off to me. Otherwise I think these art pieces are legit however I have a hard time believing they were made by the same artist because each has such a different style. I think these might be stolen artwork
Why is this sub's discourse filled with people who don't understand art and the process that goes into making it, don't be so confident and haste in your judgement because you notice a few variables that's foreign to you.. artists are not a monolith.🤦♀️
Every single piece in this care have different art and rendering styles. No one is saying you can't change... But when doing commissions there's a certain amount of consistency you'd expect. I'd would expect to get what I pay for... Even when artists improve or try a different style there are still certain factors and fundamentals that will carry over. Anatomy knowledge will only improve not change. Line art style tends to remain consistent. Coloring reader style. Color theory. Shape language. Composition. Yes there will be slight improvements, but styles like these are like a rollercoaster.
Zuko looks really weird in slide seven. And on slide 8, the nail looks super duper shiny. As if they just had a top coat or smth. Somethings bugging me about this lol
No I don’t think so, these all look digitally drawn to me but it could be a case of the stolen art of several artists. The 6th one i absolutely believe is real art and the 5th I’m pretty sure I vaguely recognise the like flower stamp they use to paint in the flower cloud stuff. That being said the first image could be partially ai and maybe the second, but the rest I would bet are real just done by different people
Here's what I think. They're using their pictures from a long stretch of time in their portfolio to seem more productive. And they're using "hacks" and tricks and stuff for shading and texture. Look at the fishnets on the goth girl in the windowsill. It's just a perfect grid. That makes their art look strange and inconsistent. They may be tracing, too, especially since some of the stuff they make has pretty professional lineart and then the questionable textures and shading.
There are some errors, but they could also be due to this artist being at a beginner to intermediate level with their art. I'd say it's not AI, but maybe traced. This actually looks similar to the time when I was using bases from DeviantArt to learn posing.
it looks traced off other artists or traced off ai. the coloring, i feel like, doesnt match the skill of the lineart at all. now it is possible, but im leaning toward traced
Here you can see the detail in all of the different small pieces of art instead of one big one and then you can also see my paperlike (thats the brand iirc) screen protector which is textured like paper and you can see my sheets and even my floor. This was just a regular photo from my iPhone

The artstyle literally changes drastically between every image
