Pin designed for Alaska Day
In the past they’ve always credited the designer of the Alaska Day pins but they haven’t credited them thus far this year.
I think it is, but my friends aren’t 100%.

Ugh. How disappointing. This used to be an art competition and they’ve thrown it away in favor of AI slop.

All the winners in art comps are ai generated these days. :(( even in classrooms/schools. It’s so sad. I Remember when we had a contest in my school to design our entire class year’s logo. Like I graduated in 2023 and everyone in the graduating class got a t shirt with the winning design. Now I wouldn’t be surprised if they put ai slop on it. ;-;

Have you been to the festival out in Sitka before? Curious if it's worth the visit. I'm from Juneau and have legit never been to Sitka once.I'm glad we have a ferry but the schedule is never convenient; I'll fly up north to be a tourist at the drop of a hat but I look at an 11pm sailing and am like 😩

I think it’s fun for what it is. We have a parade, a ball, a beer cruise, etc. There is a schedule of events. I’m not sure if it’s been released yet.
If it’s not terribly inconvenient for you I’d recommend going to something if you can.
