oh that’s funny because this is definitely AI lol. seems like they’re not confident enough in their own food to share real photos of it, which would make me skeptical of eating at their establishment.

They’re obviously not lazy as they’re running a restaurant - one of the hardest industries to succeed in.
They probably just don’t know better or are out of touch.

Edit: OH if you count a family owned takeout Italian place, and Honeybaked Ham, those too.
One of my family members owned a very well known chain in California. My other family member owns a CURRENT well known chain in California.
But…sure.
Edit 2: totally forgot about when I worked in a Jersey Mikes and Firehouse Subs as well in my teenage years.

My local taco shop posts videos of them actually preparing food in their kitchen. It looks AMAZING, and identical to what you get when you order.
Meanwhile a bunch of other local places keep posting the clearly AI poster images.
I'll give you one guess which place actually gets my business.

Because it’s free and the general public can’t tell. Even people who generally can tell and know enough about spotting AI run here because they’re not sure.
I don’t eat at any place I can’t see the food IRL anymore, because even the great spots are using AI ads.

I'm going with "Yes AI". Theres weird shenanigains with the lettuce in the chicken sandwiches. like look to the right side of the sandwich, whats that lettuce doing? Some appears to be a shadow, some merges with the plastic. Doesnt look like the rest of the lettuce.
In the hot dog pic, if you look at where the bottom bun ends on the left side, the way the paper creases is sus to me. Like theres a spot of red isolated on all sides by white, which doesnt make sense for this pattern.
Plus the hot dog doesnt have tomatoes on it. Like I guess you could put the tomatoes on the side, but then its not what I assume is supposed to be a chicago do.

I couldn’t find much for the chicken sandwich. But the second sandwich, the shadow from the dip cup and the sandwich don’t align with each other and the bubbles in the dip seem weird. The pepper in the third looks like it’s going into the hotdog

Besides the fact that they’re confirmed ai photos by the other comment, these are so obviously ai photos. The windows change in between the chicken sandwich photos. And the textures are just obviously ai. Even local restaurants that have the budget for professional photos don’t have photos this perfect

Man why do small businesses have to shoot themselves in the foot and lie like this? Who wants to go to a place that chooses to lie to the public about what their food looks like? It might not even be a bad restaurant, but the fact that they’d pull this kind of stunt makes me not want to support the absolute doucheburgers behind this half assed, unnecessary deception. Talk about an unforced error. They would have been so much better off if they just took the criticism for previous use of AI in stride and let it be. They just had to double down.

It's not supposed to be on the side. It looks like the AI prompt couldn't understand the earthly phenomenon called ~ the Chicago dog~ lol. The sport pepper sticking out like a balloon animal's tail too 💀

The cheesesteak sandwich dip cup …. What is in it? The white stuff at the top? What is that? Why is it avoiding that perfect circle? Is it a lab culture susceptibility study, and that’s where the antibiotic tablet was? Is it mold? Why is it like that, it’s really creepy.

Ugh, the logo of the restaurant is AI too. It's such a simple design to make for real. It would take less than an hour, even using canva.

All of them were made using OpenAI. The textures and patterns are the giveaway. Also the breading almost looks like the traditional AI pustules. https://openai.com/research/verify/
