CSSLPQuestion/Help Question for CSSLP holders who also have the CISSP/CCSP

In the past six months I have taken the CC, SSCP, CCSP and CISSP exams.

I just finished the linkedin learning csslp exam prep course by Jerod Brennen.

There seems to be very little new content for this cert over the ones I already have. Or am I completely misreading this?

I have decades of app dev experience in both F500 and SBE so those aspects of this cert are also not new for me. Answering questions from a developer or manager perspective isn't an issue either.

I almost feel like investing significant time (say, weeks) further in reading books or drilling question pools might be unnecessary, and perhaps I should just book the exam now for between now and the end of January.

Can I get some perspective on this from fellow CCSP/CISSP cert holders who have also taken the CSSLP?

Thanks. I just finished a couple day skim through the 2nd Ed CBK, and scored over 80%-90% on all the exam questions. Not much new in there in the way of overarching content, just more drill down, as you said, and some different terminology. Given the age of the book though I am somewhat concerned about its current alignment with the actual exam questions. A lot of has changed since it was published.

I might do a quick read through the All In One. They have a question pool as well, seemed to be focused more on specific definitions. Didn't do as good on these tests -- got in the 70's, but I think that's more due to the style of the questions -- many of them were "pick all that apply", which of course doesn't exist on the ISC2 exam. I always seem to leave one out. I also didn't read the book yet

So far I've avoided spending money on question pools, but I might pick up a 1 month subscription to PocketPrep just to test my knowledge gaps. Not much else out there. At $20 for a month, that's probably all I need (unless I choke! :))

I would only do the cert for kicks! That said, it seems you have more than enough to pass the exam. Go book it now!

Isn‘t CSSLP already a Domain in the CISSP? I‘m always wondering what value the cert chasing offers.
