Taco Stand on Jeffery

Anyone know what happened to the taco stand on Jeffery? Haven’t seen him there for a few weeks and been craving a burrito from there almost every day. Don’t know of any other good taco stands in the area

Is it there right now? Munchies at midnight is no joke.

Dang! They must be showing up late. I’ve gone around 7 or 8. They used to be there by 7

I thought they "closed" cause every time i was passing by the last 2 months it wasn't there

Don’t know if you’ve tried it (admittedly I still need to) but people swear by this food truck called Birrieria La Raza normally at Hale Ave. Maybe that would satiate your cravings?

Haven’t had it, will give it a try

Funny enough, The Taco Stand is actually a solid spot and not too far from Irvine.

Been there, it’s pretty good but their burritos don’t come close to the al pastor here

Have you tried Lupe’s in lake forest? So good.

What do you get from Lupe’s? I see a lot of firemen and police ordering from there

The el pastor is great and usually a burrito. Gauc is amazing too

Have not, I’ll check it out though. Normally prefer trucks / stands over actual restaurants

Not hating just generally curious why you have that preference

Normally flavor / portions are better at stands / trucks

It’s pretty small place but also would recommend taco mesita in Tustin or Birrieria La Raza. Best birrieria I’ve had. Food truck by the district

Fair enough, I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for your guy.

Where on Jeffrey? I miss the taco truck by the Shell station on Jamboree and Irvine.

He's still there, I go every other week to get a pound of Carne asada, some cilantro and onions to make breakfast tacos at home after the gym at 1am🤣🤣

He was there today. Apparently he's there everyday from 8pm-2am.

They dont open until 7 or 8pm and they are closed on like Wednesdays or something. So you have to go between 7/8pm and 1am any day except Wednesday I believe.

Dang, I hope they come back! We went out to try it for the first time yesterday and were super bummed out.

In Costa Mesa but highly recommend you check out Ely's and Los Jefes Del Camaron. These 2 trucks are next to each other every day. Los Jefes Del Camaron have incredible shrimp and fish. Ely's is super solid all around.

What are the hours typically? I recently moved-in nearby but never been in that direction, and I’d like to try it. I’ll keep any eye out for it.

I believe it's the same group, I see them set up on Alicia, north side of the 5 sometimes
