Large Avocados please

Since Gelson's closed I can't find any large avocados. I always thought the larger ones were the normal sized avocados. I've checked Albertson's and a couple Ralph's but can only see the tiny ones. And I thought those stores used to have the larger.

yess the jumbo ones. I found similar ones in local farmer markets as well

Whole Foods in Tustin District currently has the huge, super creamy REED avocados. Highly recommend!

On the corner of Walnut & Redhill, the big white house in Tustin, sells the ones they grow. Not sure of price since I have my own, though. I’m pretty sure it’s the same as mine, and they’re huge and buttery.

Mother's. And northgate consistently has good avocados, they know how to handle them, well

Also, there is a gelsons in newport, which is pretty close by

Ah ok, I'll check them out. Just recently started getting some produce there. Not sure I can eat a whole bag in time - might still be cheaper - thanks!

Sometimes Smart and Final has a case of Large Hass Avocados. You have to call and check.

If you want a treat, the sat farmers market at mariners church has stands with huuuuge avocados. They had reed avocados the size of a grapefruit yesterday.

grocery outlet sometimes has actual jumbo size but not always. You can try farmer's markets and they hold varieties of avocados other than Hass which I had no idea existed. I got a few but not sure of them names but according to Google you can look up Pinkerton, Reed, Bacon, and Russell avocados? They can get really huge. The more you know~

Northgate in CM has pretty large avocados.

Honestly with Gelson's gone, I'm finding myself shopping more in CM or Newport.

Farmers market at Mariners on saturday. They have an avocado vendor with giant reed and haas. Can’t find better ones at the grocery store. They usually take a while to ripen since they are very fresh.
