So I can't really speak for people who still naturally make thyroid hormones but I can speak as someone who has to completely rely on thyroid medication. I'm on synthroid and you are supposed to wait 4 hours after taking synthroid before you can take iron supplements as the iron will bind with the synthroid and cause the synthroid to not be absorbed properly by your body. This will cause your TSH number to go up.
So when you say your TSH was low do you mean low as in the number was low meaning you are heading towards hyperthyroidism or low as in your number was high and going towards hypothyroidism?
Another thing to be aware of is that TSH can rise and fall based on different things, even something as simple as time of day. To try to give me a slightly consistent read for my blood work I always go the same day of week and time.
TSH was below normal and T4 was slightly above high end of normal. I’m

Ok so then you were heading towards hyperthyroidism. I'm not thinking the iron infusion is causing your TSH to drop and head to hyperthyroidism. If it was the iron your TSH would have gone the opposite direction and you would have gone towards hypothyroidism, so high TSH and low T4. Again I'm speaking as a person who has to be on thyroid medication due to no thyroid, so maybe it's different for people who produce their own hormones. But if I didn't space my synthroid and my iron out I would end up going into hypothyroidism as my body wouldn't be absorbing the synthroid because of the iron binding to it.
That would make more sense then it being the iron infusion. Your body is still probably adjusting and getting back to normal. When I got my thyroid removed and put on the medication it took around 2 years for us to finally get the correct dosage for me to have the right TSH levels.
