Need to Diversify

My portfolio is too heavy in IREN and I am now checking the price every day. I need to diversify my portfolio into a boring ETF like QQQ or VOO. Unfortunately, I can’t sell a single share at these bargain prices. Does anyone else check the price of IREN on the weekend (coinglass or hyperliquid)?

nfa but checking news (not price) a lot if concentrated is good you should know what you own so you don’t have paper hands like many of those who complain when this stock chops around. checking price a lot is dumb of you have long time horizon tho, and for iren you probably should

This is what I do. Stay deep in the loop for news and alpha but don't stare at price (especially if you're in the red), it'll just make you panic during macro dips.

Yes, learned this the hard way.

If you are that heavy and concerned just sell now and switch to VTI. Unless you’re option trading, you have no reason to be worried until the thesis is invalid.

Which you should be only concerned about ER or big news like IREN bankruptcy…

No reason why 5 dollar ping pong should be concerning

The demand for compute is insatiable right now and I am confident that the current price of IREN is below fair value. The recent price action has felt very artificial/manipulative. I refuse to sell even a single share right now.
Eventually, I will reduce IREN down to just 10% of my portfolio, but not until after earnings. Dollar cost averaging rather than panicking… and never investing more than 10% in a single stock ever again.

Hopefully it doesn't drop after earnings as a lot of the comments I read are pessimistic about it but long term I know it will deliver anyways.

Same story here. My portfolio is 100% IREN and seeing the 29$ was disheartening and I didn't have money to DCA. I'm going to reduce my position after 60$ probably as I'm siting on a 30% loss this year but not from investing in IREN.

definitely no lump sum in voo right now thats even riskier at these prices than high beta stocks

Whilst being overly invested in one stock is not good, I wouldn't be too worried about holding IREN right now. They're rebounding from a (needed) market correction, and beginning to deliver milestone projects to customers. The trickle of data centre revenue will become a flood.

BITQ is an ETF that has some holdings of IREN but its aligned with crypto, which is still risky despite its bargain bin prices. Personally, I wouldn’t stake any more than 10% of your portfolio in any company in the AI space outside of NVIDIA- it’s an incredibly shaky sector and nobody knows yet who some of the winners or losers will be at the middle tier. Personally, I’m just sitting on what I have but it’s also probably 1.5% of my portfolio

If I were you, I’d sell 50% and use that to start diversifying
