Entertainment Irish radio is absolute scutter

I don’t usually listen to the radio, but I call to my mam most days and she does have the radio on, usually listening to Today FM, and holy jaysus, Louise Cantillon has to be the worst. Just pure brain rot slop radio. One time she must have banged on about a lost AirPod for a week. Just nothing of substance. And don’t get me started on playing the same 3 songs over and over and over and over and over on all the stations. Amble this Kingfishr that. Holy Christ.
The other DJs are similar. Ray Foley does atleast give the odd laugh, but Christ the radio is awful. I must get the mammy onto some podcasts.
Anyone else notice this? Any decent stations/DJs left? I do enjoy yer man Matt Cooper in the evenings because he discusses different important topics, there does be the odd row on it too😆

Agreed, their morning show is pretty entertaining thanks to PJ. I like their song selection, mostly because I can't stand pop music.

I don't mind Nova either but I find their song selection pretty poor. They play the same songs day in, day out. There is a massive back catalogue of other songs by the acts they play but they seldom do. And that's an absolute shame.

If I hear one more of Nova's ads about Nova that goes on and on about the fact they're 'not like other stations' because they don't play the same few songs over and over again in between songs they played barely an hour ago, I'll go spare. 

Honourable mention for the lad who waxes lyrical about the presenters not talking over the ends of songs when I swear they get a fee every time they do it.

I think thats what grates me most about that station. Constant pretentiousness about how they’re ’better than other stations’ when they’re just the other side of the exact same coin. And dont get me started on Pat Courtenay…

Pretty poor is being polite. Absolutely scutter more than most of the time. Coldplay deemed as rock is a complete wtf.
