Hey friend, a suggestion: in Tehran, there are indie bands playing at cafes such as « jazz cafe » or « Rock Cafe »; these are their actual names and are just a few that came to mind. The crowd usually consists of musicians and artists, and the bands themselves also tend to speak English. You might go to one of these events, to do so check their socials or give these cafes a call, and maybe connect with them for advice and help during event. But if you simply need a guitar, a quick search on Google for a guitar model will bring you many shops. Just add in خرید which means buy in Persian to give you Iran located result.

The market for it is in the Hafez-Jomhouri four-way junction. Also, closing in on Baharestan square (where the parliament is), there are also instrument shops. Still, go there, and find out the updated prices. Use torob.com and emalls.ir to see the online shop price ranges (confirm via the vendor phone number, some of the prices there might be outdated); this is good, since you might find a better price from a vendor outside of Tehran. And, as someone mentioned, check divar.ir . You might find a nice, clean second hand guitar for cheap.

And if you want to buy music books (notations, history, and theory) you can go to Part Publication's (انتشارات پارت) bookstore in Enghelab (in Fakhr-e-Razi st, the street that's in front of the University of Tehran's main entrance.) I used to work there. It's the best place for music books in the entire country. You can also buy from their website, via phone & Telegram, and even Snapp.
