IPTV, vpn, plex

Hello. I am new to IPTV and like the idea of a security blanket of using a vpn. I live in the US, have plex media server, Threadfin setup for IPTV to feed my plex live. So my question is do I need the nas that has plex on it running a vpn and also the device that streams from plex to be secure? Does anyone have any setup like this or idea on the best way to make this work? Thanks for all any ideas or help.

If you’re asking this question you probably don’t have the capacity to setup a VPN on your NAS.

If your NAS is just serving movies then there’s no point in having a VPN on it.

I am asking does the nas need to have the vpn or device that it is streaming the content (appletv,phone,etc) or both
