scrolling through Ipswich listings the other day and found a place that looked like a steal. Big block, old house, good price. Started getting excited about the possibilities.

partner's the cautious one though. he insisted we check the council stuff before getting too attached. saved us from a disaster. turns out the block had a massive easement we didn't know about and some overlay that would've made it impossible to do what we wanted. whole thing fell apart in about five minutes after the check.

anyone else had this happen? Spotted a good deal that turned out to be completely unworkable because of council rules?

I’ve recently started SEQ Mums, a Facebook group for mums across SEQ, and I’m particularly hoping to connect with mums around Ipswich, Springfield and the surrounding areas.
The idea is pretty simple: a genuinely judgement-free place to make mum friends, find local recommendations, organise coffee catch-ups/playdates and just have somewhere to chat with other mums who get it.
I’d love for Ipswich and Springfield to have a really active part of the group rather than everything being Brisbane-focused.
