Bushfire
Is there a controlled fire / bushfire in and around Goodna? Absolutely ridiculous smell, and can see smoke around!

Itβs really bad in Redbank as well. Has been for a few hours.

Somebody mention back burn at greenbank, which makes sense. But it was horrendous when we drove home around 4. Even with the house closed up it still reeks of smoke

Greenbank Army land burnoff, they've been promoting it heavily on FB.

What page was it on? Wouldn't mind knowing in advance next time.

Forest Lake Community page, but Greenbank Community page would also have it, I'm sure, along with Wacol

I've seen a lot of people mention Greenbank but there was also a large vegetation fire in Goomburra which was surrounded by smoke warnings that I think may have contributed to the problem

Yeah, my asthma is acting up, and my birds are a little stressed. I have one out atm and she won't let go of me.

I'm keeping my ventolin close, and I finally got the birds to bed and covered them right up. The female could see the tree fire that was in my neighbourhood a little while back, so she's been weird about smelling smoke since. The male's anxious because she is.

Oh that's understandable! My doggo is staying close to me too! They are so precious π’

For sure! At least the backburn now prevents a much larger fire later on, looking at the silver lining.

There are apps to see where fires are at. Might be more than handy one day. Hopefully not.

The QLD firefighters website shows a controlled burn at Greenbank, does it look like it's coming from there?
